What should I do if my corals do not open after arrival?Updated a month ago

Zoanthids sometimes take a few days to adjust to a new environment, and their response can vary based on factors such as lighting, flow, and water parameters. Here are steps you can try to encourage them to open:

  • Placement Adjustment: Zoanthids prefer moderate to low light and flow. Try moving them to a slightly lower-flow area.
  • Water Parameters: Ensure stable parameters, particularly alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and salinity, as fluctuations can stress corals.
  • Patience: Some zoas take longer to open, especially after shipping. Allow them a few more days to adjust while monitoring for any signs of decay or melting.

If they remain closed after a few more days, please let us know, and we will be happy to assist further.
